An economy remap increases the fuel economy of a car, mainly for diesel cars.

Fuel prices are always increasing, so if you're someone who does a lot of miles or makes a living by driving  (Taxi driver, Delivery driver etc..) the only way to reduce fuel cost is to remap your vehicle with an economy remap.

 

Fuel is saved by adjusting certain parts of the ECU’s software to optimise the combustion cycle. For example the timing of the fuel injectors are adjusted so only a sufficient amount of fuel and no more. The turbo pressure is also adjusted, this puts more air into the cylinder on each stroke to allow all of the fuel being injected to be burnt more efficiently.

You can expect to see savings of up to 30% with an economy remap depending on how you drive.
